The AIMA ALUMNI ASSOCIATION (AAA) was established
on 18th January, 1998 as an interactive body of past
and present students and faculty members of AIMA's Centre for
Management Education (CME).
OUR MISSION
To develop a sense of fraternity among AIMA students and Faculty
members.
OUR OBJECTIVES
To
foster a feeling of brotherhood and friendship between old students
and the AIMA community.
To
plan and conduct activities / programs to help ex-students in
their personal and professional growth.
To
facilitate students' networking with alumni in industry.

The AAA conducts various management, cultural and educational
programmes to enhance networking among alumni and promote the
personal growth of individuals.
Following are some of the activities undertaken by the
AAA in 2007 -08 :
AAA BUSINESS SIMULATION GAMES
AIMA ALUMNI ASSOCIATION organized Business Simulation Games for
its students from various study centers in Delhi at Andhra Association
Building on 30th and 31st May 2008 . The same was conducted with
the support of Games Dept of AIMA. Mr Vikas Gupta, Mr D Gupta
and Mr Vijay gave full support in conducting the same. Participants
were confronted with business issues. They were asked to take
management decisions and see the business effect of such decisions,
soon thereafter. Participants play to win, and in seeking to win,
they imbibe new forms of competitive behavior that are ideal for
today's highly chaotic business conditions. The winner was a team
from study center 100 (AIMA study center) : Mr Varun Anand, Ms
Gargi Agarwal and Ms Archita Dutta were the winners. Prof DN Rao
(Patron AAA & Director CME) graced the ocassion with his presence.
Prof Amit Bhatnagar (faculty coordinator AAA), Prof Surendra Kumar
(President AAA), Ms Namita Sood (Vice President AAA), Ms Rakhi
Ruhal (Secretary AAA) and MS Nisha Ilyas (Executive Members) were
also present.

FINAL ROUND OF ‘INTER STUDY CENTRE
QUIZ COMPETITION
The Final Round of ‘’Inter Study Centre Quiz Competition’’
was held at AIMA on 10th June 2007 at AIMA, Auditorium.
All the winners from Semi Final Round held at study Centers participated
at the Final Round. Prof DN Rao (Patron AAA & Director AIMA-CME),
Prof Amit Bhatnagar (Faculty Coordinator-AAA), Prof Surendra Kumar
(President AAA), Ms Namita Sood (Vice President AAA), Ms Sujita
Khemka (Treasurer), Mr Saurabh Solanki & Mr Manish Sahni (Jt
Secretary), Ms Nisha Ilyas, Mr Pankaj Prasoon & Ms Purnima
Dhingra (Exe members) and Ms Rakhi Ruhal (Secretary AAA) were
present on the occasion. Anchor persons for Quiz were Ms Sujita
and Mr Saurabh. There were seven teams and Four Rounds of Quiz
: General Questions Round, Visual Clipping Round, Management Related
Round and Dumb Charades Round.
The Winner team was JIMS, Kalkaji (SC-77). The
runnerup team was NIMS, Pitampura (SC-124) and
the second runnerup team was Mastermind, Lajpat Nagar
(SC-1). The Winners were awarded Trophies, Books and
Certificates. The participating team was also awarded with Certificates
and Books. The Certificate of Winning & participation of the
Semi Final Rounds were also awarded. The Quiz was followed by
High Tea.
AAA AGM
Report on the ‘Annual General Meeting’ held
on 29th March 2008
The 9th Annual General Meeting of AIMA Alumni Association was
held on 29th March 2008 at AIMA. A significant number of members
of AAA gathered once again on the occasion to review the activities
and achievements of the past financial year. Prof Surendra Kumar-President,Ms
Sujita Khemka-Treasurer, Ms Rakhi Ruhal-Secretary,
Mr Saurabh Solanki -Joint Secretary, Ms Purnima
Dhingra, Mr Uttam Kumar and Ms Nisha Ilyas –Executive
Members. Auditors for the next financial year were also
appointed. The AGM was graced with the presence of Director CME
and Patron –AAA Prof DN Rao and Faculty Coordinator –AAA-Prof
Amit Bhatnagar.
AGM was followed by a Hi Tea.
AIMA's Personality Development Workshop
AIMA ALUMNI ASSOCIATION (AAA) organized a Personality Development
Workshop for all Module students at AIMA Auditorium on 28th October
2007. An eminent trainer Mr Sumit Chaudhuri was invited for the
same. He provided an excellent training to all students on ‘Dynamics
of Success in Organisational Setting’ . It was beneficial
to all students being at threshold of their working careers .
90 students participated in the Workshop from different Study
Centres in Delhi. It was followed by Lunch.
Convocation 2008
The AAA solicited the presence of its alumni on the auspicious occasion of its 13th Convocation on 2nd August 2008 at India Habitat Centre, where the students were awarded their Post Graduate and Professional Diplomas. Prof. Surendra Kumar (President), Ms Sujita Khemka (Treasurer), Ms Nisha Ilyas, Mr Uttam Kumar and Ms Purnima Dhingra (Exec members) were present at the occasion. The alumni of previous batches also visited the Alumni counter at the venue, and several showed interest in the AAA membership. Gold medal to overall topper in PGDM and PGDITM, Ms Usha N was sponsored by AAA. Mementos, AAA Directories (CD) and AAA Newsletters were gifted to 200 students who completed their PGDM / PGDITM/ Professional Diplomas. Refreshment and high tea were offered to all attendees.
AIMA-ALUMNI Meet
Report on the 'Annual AIMA-ALUMNI Meet at ' LE MEREDIEN'
AIMA ALUMNI ASSOCIATION (AAA) solicited the presence of its alumnus,
Module IV students and their families on the evening of 19th January
2008 at 7-00 p.m. at 'LE MERIDIEN', New Delhi. The programme started
at 8.00 p.m. with a welcome note by Prof DN Rao (Patron) and Prof
Surendra Kumar (President) and Ms Rakhi Ruhal (Secretary).
Three distinguished Alumni were felicitated Mr Ashwani K Gulati,
Mr PK Gupta and Mr P Jayakumar for their contribution to society
and Alumni.This was done for the first time on occasion of successful
completion of 10 years by AAA. It was followed by varied interactive
games like Movie Teasers, Advertisement Teasers, Cards and Tambola
which added to the excitement of the evening. Gifts were awarded
to the winners of these games. The evening ended with a sumptuous
dinner.
The event was attended by 100 alumni and was highly appreciated.
Inter Study Centre Quiz
SEMI-FINAL ROUND OF ‘ INTER Study CENTRE QUIZ COMPETITION’
HELD AT Study Centers
AAA organized its first round of Inter Study centre Quiz Competition
at various Study Centers in Delhi as per details given below :
Quiz was based on General awareness, Movies, Media, Music, Mental
Ability, English, History & Geography. Quiz was held by Ms Rakhi
Ruhal (Secretary-AAA). Ms Nisha Ilyas (Exe member-AAA) and Mr Devender
Kumar (Coordinator-AAA) gave full support in conduct of the same.
All the rounds at Study Centers were done under support and guidance
from Prof Amit Bhatnagar (faculty Coordinator-AAA). It was highly
appreciated and enjoyed by all.

NEW INITIATIVES
Group Messaging service - SMS-GUPSHUP
For better networking and stay connected, AIMA -CME has decided to use an innovative new SMS service that will help to connect and reach out to our ALUMNI community for free. This service is called SMS-GUPSHUP.
It is free group messaging service that allows creating students groups and sending SMS to them for free.
Your message is forwarded for free to all members of the group. The service is easy to use and works entirely using SMS. You can either use your mobile phones or the website: www.smsgupshup.com to send messages to the students groups anywhere in India.
The service is under development phase. Keep visiting AAA pages on the website for latest information.
AAA has created Yahoo! Group.
AAA has created a closed user group for AAA members only. Any Alumni member (Annual / Life members) can join the group and stay connected with their batch mates, long lost friends and even the AAA committee members. You can share your thoughts, ideas and provide suggestions to us and other members using the id aima_a_a@yahoogroups.com .
