INTRODUCTION
Welcome to the academic programme of your choice. We hope that your
experience in this programme would prove satisfying both academically
and professionally. As a participant in this programme, you would
require to interact with AIMA-CME on several academic and administrative
matters.
CME policies, procedures and formalities that need to be carried
out for the purpose of Personal Contact Programmes at the Study
Centres, assignments, term-end examinations, progression to next
module, re-registration for backlogs (if, any) and convocation are
mentioned below.
As a student of AIMA-CME, you are required to follow AIMA-CME norms
regarding registration, progression to next module, deferment of
session commencement, and withdrawal from the programme, and making
any approved variation to your programme.

PROGRAMME CYCLES
The programme cycles will be generally as under:

The term-end examinations will be held twice in a year in June and
December. The schedule of examination will be intimated to the students
accordingly.

STUDENT REGISTRATION IN MODULE I
Upon registration every student will be allotted a unique Registration
number, which is a combination of programme code (course code),
year and session of admission and a unique serial number (control
no.). For eg: 420810010 can be decoded as

The registration is valid for the duration of the current module
only, however, this registration number will remain same throughout
the programme.
The registration number is unique to every student. Students are
advised to mention the Registration Number in the subject line of
their correspondence to enable faster processing of the requests.
PROVISIONAL ADMISSION IN MODULE I
(Not Applicable to Capsule Courses / Advanced Certificate
/ Ph.D Students)
In case the proof of graduation (i.e. attested copy of final year
mark sheet / graduation degree certificate) and / or Experience
certificate(s) and MAT score card is not furnished with the admission
form, provisional admission in Module-I will be granted, which will
be confirmed upon submission of the same.
Provisionally admitted students in Module-I will be required to
submit proof of graduation / Experience certificate(s) / MAT score
card to Manager-Admissions, at AIMA-CME, New Delhi, on or before
May 31 for January session & November 30 for July Session
failing which provisionally admitted student(s) will not be permitted
to appear in term end examination and he/she will by default be
deferred to the next immediate session. (For deferment guidelines

Admission of such students will stand cancelled if they fail to
provide the required documents by the prescribed timelines for submission
in the next immediate session.
In case a provisionally admitted student fails to submit the required
documents even in two subsequent sessions after registration in
the programme, refund/adjustment of fee will not be applicable.
PROGRESSION TO NEXT MODULE
(Applicable to PGDM / PGDITM / ACISM / Ph.D / Select PGCM programme)
The Progression to next module will be registered on submission
of progression form and the prescribed fee for the module to Manager-Admissions,
AIMA-CME.
Progression to next module is an administrative requirement of AIMA-CME.
Last date for progression to next module will be as under:

Progression to Module-III will be provisional for students
having backlog papers in Module-I and will be confirmed subject
to clearance of Module-I with minimum MGPA of 2.67. |

having backlog papers in Module-II and will be confirmed subject
to clearance of Module-II with minimum MGPA of 2.67. |
If a student is seeking provisional progression, he/she can attend
PCPs at the study centre and submit assignments but will not be
allowed to appear in the term end Module examination. However, on
declaration of the result of previous module, if criteria mentioned
in (a) or (b) is fulfilled, the provisional progression will be
confirmed and he/she will be permitted to appear in term end Module
examination.
(Not applicable to select PGCM programmes & Ph.D)

RE-REGISTRATION FOR FOURTH ATTEMPT IN TERM-END EXAMINATION
Registration to a course (Subject/Paper) is valid for a period of
one and a half years from the date of registration to the module
of which the course is a part.
If a student of PGDM/PGCM/Ph.D is unable to clear a paper within three consecutive attempts, he/she will have to re-register on payment of Rs. 1100/- per paper (Applicable till June 2008 Examinations)
If a student of PGDITM/ACISM is unable to clear a paper within three consecutive attempts, he/she will have to re-register on payment of Rs. 1500/- per paper. (Applicable till June 2008 Examinations)
Re-registered student will be entitled to get two more attempts
in examination and assignments.
For the third attempt, examination
fee of Rs. 200 per paper shall be payable.
Re-registration will remain valid for a further period of one year
and six months (three consecutive attempts).
An attempt will be counted even if the student does not appear for
the examination within the registration period.
MAXIMUM TIME TO COMPLETE A PROGRAMME
Re-registration is subject to the fulfillment of the condition that
a Post Graduate Diploma Programme must be completed within five
years from the date of registration to the programme and one year
Post Graduate Certificate programmes must be completed within three
years of registration to the programme. Foundation programme of
Ph.D must be completed within three years of registration to the
programme. Failure to meet the maximum time limit to complete the
programme would lead to cancellation of registration to the programme.

FEE PAYMENT
The fee will be accepted through bank Challan (during banking hours)
or Demand Draft drawn in favour of “All India Management Association”,
payable at New Delhi.
AIMA-CME reserves the right to revise the fee. Fee, if revised,
will be communicated to the students before the due date of progression
to next module.
REFUND OF FEE ON CANCELLATION OF ADMISSION

Full refund :
In case of withdrawal of programme by AIMA-CME, or rejection
of registration form (on account of non-fulfillment of eligibility
criterion as per admission policy for the session) full
fee will be refunded to the candidate at his/her mailing
address within one month from the date of receipt of registration
form (OMR admission form) in AIMA-CME.

Partial refund :
If an application for cancellation of admission is received
in AIMA-CME before the dispatch of study material from AIMA-CME,
the processing charges (Rs 500 only) will be deducted from
the fee. Balance fee will be refunded to the candidate at
his/her mailing address within one month from the date of
receipt of his/her application in AIMA-CME.
If an application for cancellation of admission is received
in AIMA-CME after the dispatch of study material from AIMA-CME,
the processing charges and cost of study material (Rs 4000
only) will be deducted from the fee. Balance fee will be
refunded to the candidate at his/her mailing address within
one month from the date of receipt of his/her application.

Applications for cancellation of admission/refund of fee
will not be considered after the commencement of PCPs at
the Study Centres.

IDENTITY
CARD
Identity Cards are issued by AIMA-CME to the students enrolled in
Module-I in all courses at the beginning of every Academic session.
AIMA-CME will dispatch the I-Cards to the Study centres and the
students can collect them from their respective Study Centres on
the first day of PCP commencement. It is mandatory for students
to carry I-Card while visiting AIMA office/Study Centre/LMA secretariat
and in the examination hall.
Validity
The I-Cards issued at the time of admission will be valid
as:
PGDM / PGDITM : 3 years
Post Graduate Certificate in Management : 1 year 6 months
Advanced Certificate in Management : 6 months
Foundation Phase of Ph.D : 3 year
I-Card Renewal
The validity of I-Card after renewal will be 18 months (for PGDM
/ PGDITM / PGCM).
The renewal request shall be made one month before the expiry
of the validity along with the original I-Card to Manager-Admissions.
Requests made after the expiry of the I-Card shall reach AIMA
office before March 31st (for appearing in June Term-End Examinations)
/ September 30th (for appearing in December Term-End Examinations).
The charges for I-Card renewal will be Rs.100/- after the expiry
of validity and the requests will be entertained only up to the
above-mentioned timelines.
Duplicate I-Card
In case of loss of I- Card / non-submission of original
I-Card along with renewal request, duplicate I-Card will be issued
on payment of Rs.100/-. Student has to submit one passport size
photograph along with the request for duplicate I- Card.
Payment shall be made as Bank Challan/ DD drawn in favour of “All
India Management Association-CME”, payable at New Delhi).
On receipt of such requests from the student / Study Centre, duplicate
I-cards will be issued by AIMA-CME to the respective Study Centre
within 10 days from the date of receipt of request.

DEFERRAL
OF ACADEMIC SESSION
(Not Applicable to six months Advanced Certificate &
Ph. D students.)
Following the confirmation of admission in a particular programme/session,
if a student wishes to defer commencement of academic session because
of reasons beyond his/her control, AIMA-CME at its discretion may
grant deferment of academic session maximum by six months.
A request for deferral of commencement of session should be submitted
to Manager-Admissions, AIMA-CME,
within one month from the
date of issue of admission/progression confirmation letter from
AIMA-CME.
(A) Provisionally admitted students in Module-1 will not be allowed
to appear in term end module examination and will by default be
deferred to the next immediate session if they fail to submit the
required proof of graduation by the prescribed timelines ie., May
31 for January session and November 30 for July session.
(B) Deferral can be sought only once in an academic year (i.e.,
two consecutive deferment requests will not be considered).
(C) Deferral period will be excluded from the maximum time period
for completion of programme (i.e., 5 years for PGDM/PGDITM and 3
years for ACISM/PGCM).
A request for deferral of session must indicate the
grounds
on which deferment is sought and must be supported with relevant
documents.
Deferment of session will be granted for current admission cycle
only. AIMA-CME reserves the right to accept or reject any deferment
request.

COURSE
DURATION
The
minimum time to complete a module shall be
six months.
The
maximum time to complete a module shall be
one and a half years. In other words, the students would be allowed
a maximum of three consecutive attempts for clearing the paper.
No separate examination fee is payable for the first two attempts
while for the third attempt, examination fee of Rs. 200 shall be
applicable.

CHANGE
OF SPECIALIZATION
The change of specialization is permitted in PGDM/PGDITM programmes
and request for the same should be submitted to Manager –
Admissions in the prescribed format within one month from the date
of submission of Progression form in AIMA-CME.
Fee for the change of specialization will be Rs. 1000 if study material
pack has not been dispatched by AIMA-CME. Study guides/text books
of the common papers can be used from the study material pack received
and the course material (study guides/text books) related to new
subjects can be bought @ Rs.800 per subject. In case student's study
material pack has been dispatched by AIMA-CME, a fee of Rs. 4000
will be charged for the same.

CHANGE
OF STUDY CENTRE
Change of Study Centre is permitted once in a module under the following
circumstances:
Change of Residence
Change of Job/Transfer
Non-availability of Specialization at the Study Centre
AIMA-CME reserves the right to change the study centre on account
of low enrollments at a particular study centre.
Change of Study Centre is permitted only once in a module. The request
for Change of Study Centre should be made in the prescribed form
only.
The study material pack, if dispatched by AIMA-CME, can be collected
from the previous Study Centre without any additional payment.
STUDY
CENTRE CLOSURE BY AIMA-CME
Subsequent to the Study centre closure by AIMA-CME, the students
will be given option to choose an alternate Study centre or '0'
(zero) Study centre, i.e., AIMA-CME at Delhi.
CHANGE
OF CORRESPONDENCE ADDRESS
The request for Change of Correspondence Address should be made
in the prescribed form only.
SECOND
SPECIALIZATION IN THE SAME PROGRAMME
The students of PGDM/PGDITM can opt for a second specialization
after clearing the term-end examination of fourth module with CGPA
of 2.67, subject to the following conditions:

For second specialization in the same programme, student has to
take one extra module of specialization (3rd Module in case of PGDM
/ 4th Module in case of PGDITM). The written request for dual specialization
with grade sheet of previous modules should be submitted to the
Manager – Admissions, AIMA-CME New Delhi by 16thAugust for
July session and 15th February for January session.

SCHOLARSHIP
AIMA awards 30 scholarships every year to the students enrolled in the first module of PGDM and PGDITM programmes of AIMA-CME that is 15 scholarships for January intake and 15 scholarships for July intake of each year. These scholarships are to support the economically weaker section students joining AIMA-CME's PGDM & PGDITM programmes. The eligibility and other terms and conditions are given below :
The Scholarship award would be discontinued if a student fails to comply with AIMA-CME Scholarship norms. The decision of the AIMA’s Scholarship Committee shall be final and binding upon the student.
