ELIGIBILITY FOR BACHELOR PROGRAMMES -
DESIGN

|
Bachelor of Fashion Technology (Fashion Design / Leather Design / Accessory Design / Textile Design / Knitwear Design / Communication Design)
The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognised Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi.
or
General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
or
Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in Foreign countries recognised by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system.
or
A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects.
or
3 or 4-years diploma recognised by AICTE or a
State Board of Technical Education.
Please note that the upper age limit for applying
in bachelor programmes is restricted to 23 years as on 1st November,
2007.

Bachelor of Fashion Technology (Apparel Production)
The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognised Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi with Physics, Chemistryand Maths.
or
General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the advanced (A) level with Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
or
Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognised by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system with Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
or

Master of Fashion Technology (Management)
A three years Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities or Diploma inAccessory / Fashion Design / FIT from NIFT only.
For foreign Bachelor’s Degree, not recognised by
the Association of Indian Universities, proper certification by a National
Body constituted in the country concerned for granting equivalence will
have to be produced.

in any design discipline (Fashion / Textiles / Accessories / Graphics /
Communication) or B.A. (Fine Arts), B.Sc. (Textiles & Clothing),
B.Tech (Textiles) or Design Diploma from NIFT / NID only For foreign
Bachelor’s Degree, not recognised by the Association of Indian
Universities, proper certification by a National Body constituted in the
country concerned for granting equivalence will have to be
produced. For foreign Bachelor’s Degree, not recognised by the
Association of Indian Universities, proper certification by a National

| IMPORTANT NOTE
Candidates appearing for their qualifying examinations can also apply. Their admission, however, will be provisional and subject to obtaining the defined eligibility by 30th June, 2008. Proof of the candidates having successfully passed the qualifying examination will have to be produced at the time of joining the programme. In case, candidates do not produce the required documents by 30th June, 2008, their admission will be cancelled and 50% of the tuition fee will be refunded.
Non fulfilment of the above conditions will
automatically result in the cancellation of the provisional admission.
